BBTB: Maniac Mansion (1987) (PC)

Maniac Mansion is a classic point and click adventure game. Dave, the hero, must enter the mansion with two other characters, which you may choose, in order to save his girlfriend, Sandy. The mansion is full of crazy things and an odd family made up of a Mad Scientist father Fred, crazy nurse mother Edna , military obsessed son Ed and a few tentacles to boot. You play the game as three characters at the same time, swapping between them in order to complete the puzzles and interact with things. The nerd character Bernard can interact with different things than the others can and vice versa. This allows you to pick a different team for multiple play-throughs allowing you to play the game in different ways. Many different and crazy things can be done, but whatever you do, don't try to microwave the hamster!
Want to play the game? I remake version can be found here. I haven't played this version, but it seems like a copy with better graphics, but still not up to today's standards by any means. The original game that I owned played off of a 3.5 floppy disk so it obviously didn't have the greatest of graphics.
I give this game a 4.7/5 arbitrary nostalgia points.
