BBTB: The Goonies (Movie, 1985)

The Goonies is a coming of age story for several young men and women. The main character Mikey, played by very young Sean Astin,of Stranger Things fame, leads the band of misfits in search of the pirate treasure of One-eyed Willy to save their homes. Trouble ensues in the form of a family of criminals and a variety of booby traps along the way as well as (depending on what version you watch) a giant octopus attack! Ultimately they find the treasure only to have it snatched away but still manage to save the day with a pouch full of gems. To those young people out there that haven't seen this, track down a copy and watch it. Full of 1980's adventure and cheesiness, don't miss this one!
I give this movie 4.8/5 arbitrary nostalgia points.
